Fermented Milk Thistle

Milk Thistle is native to the Mediterranean and has a history of use as an edible plant supporting liver health. In addition to a healthy dose of milk thistle, this fermented elixir is loaded with enzymes, B vitamins, micronutrients and organic acids to help support a healthy liver.

Botanica's small batch brewing process starts with organic milk thistle harvested at peak potency and made into a herbal tea. It is thencombined with a unique scoby (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast) and fermented fully for months, unlike other kombuchas which typically ferment for mere days or weeks.

  • Helps promote healthy liver function and gut health

Drink one shot (2 tbsp) or mix with water or juice. Consult a health practitioner if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Fermented Milk Thistle is good up until the expiry date on the bottle. If kept outside of the fridge, fermentation will continue (but not go bad). More “mother” may grow as well but it will not be harmful (just like in apple cider vinegar).

  • Water, organic milk thistle, organic sugar, active culture

What are adaptogens?

Put simply, adaptogens are natural substances that benefit bodily processes, and help the body adapt to stress.

Adaptogens are reported to show long-lasting effects which, unlike stimulants such as caffeine, aren’t followed by a drop in capacity. By acting more gently with fewer peaks and throughs, adaptogens may protect our physical and mental processes both before and after stressful events.

Will I feel a difference right away?

While effects do vary from person to person, generally effects are felt after a few weeks of consistent use.
